Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of maketheprint.com (the "Site") and any products or services offered through it (collectively, the "Services"), operated by King Network Services Inc dba MakeThePrint.com ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. By using the Services you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Products & custom prints
All items are made (printed) to order. We do not hold finished inventory; each item is produced specifically for your order after it is placed. Because items are made to order, colors, finishes, dimensions, and surface texture may vary slightly from images shown. 3D printing is an additive process and minor layer lines, support marks, or tolerances are normal and not considered defects.
For custom orders, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any model, design, logo, or file you submit, and that producing it does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, or violate any law. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion.
3. Prohibited items
You may not order, or ask us to produce, any item that is illegal, that infringes intellectual property rights, or that is a functional weapon or weapon component, or that we otherwise deem unsafe or inappropriate.
4. Pricing & payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise and are exclusive of applicable taxes and shipping, which are shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Square; we do not store your full card details. By submitting payment you authorize us to charge the total shown. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel and refund affected orders.
5. Cancellations & returns
An order confirmation does not guarantee acceptance. We may refuse or cancel an order for reasons including suspected fraud or errors.
Cancellation by you: Because all items are made to order, you may cancel an order only before it enters production. A cancellation fee of 10% of the order total applies to cover payment-processing and handling costs; the remainder is refunded. Once an item has entered production, it can no longer be cancelled.
Returns: Because all items are custom-made to order, all sales are final and there are no returns or refunds, except where we sent the wrong item or the item arrived damaged or defective. In those cases we will replace, reprint, or refund the affected item — see our Returns & Refunds policy.
6. Shipping & risk of loss
Estimated production and shipping times are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. See our Shipping Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Site, including its design, text, graphics, and our original product designs, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our content without permission. You retain ownership of files you submit; you grant us a limited license to use them solely to fulfill your order.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. 3D-printed parts are not certified for medical, aerospace, automotive safety, load-bearing, or life-critical use unless expressly agreed in writing.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES OR A PRODUCT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless King Network Services Inc dba MakeThePrint.com, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or from any file or design you submit.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware (our state of incorporation), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you other rights.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
